The first annual Tavern on the Hill NCAA Basketball contest is available for sign-up until midnight on Wednesday the 19th of March. The scoring system is the standard 1-2-4-8-16-32-64 (1 point for picking first round games, 64 for correctly choosing the finals winner). Since gambling in a bar is illegal in Ohio, and morally wrong everywhere, there is no sign-up fee. If you get your picks into my hands by midnight on Wednesday, you will be eligible not only for Mt. Adams bragging rights, but also for prizes such as gift certificates, logo merchandise, and things that I can find in my office that I no longer remember obtaining. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries and the chance that someone actually follows college basketball at the Tavern. Odds of actually liking your prize are somewhat lower, sadly. General managers are ineligible for prizes, as they tend to cheat to try to make up for the inadequacies they experience in the rest of their lives.
